I am expecting, or I have a newborn baby and need to make a visit to your office.  Is there anything I need to do first?

Please notify your insurance provider about the baby’s birth, you will need to give the baby’s full name and date of birth so that your baby will be fully covered under your plan whether you have a Medicaid plan or commercial coverage. This needs to be done soon after the child is born or you will be responsible for paying your medical bills. If you are new to our practice, please verify that The Kids Doctor is an approved health care service provider, before you schedule an appointment with us. If you have any further questions please contact our business office at (813) 978-1522.

Why am I getting a bill from my doctors office?

You may be getting a bill if you received services in our office that are not covered by your plan, or if you have a deductible that hasn’t been met. If you have a Medicaid plan and are receiving a bill you need to contact our business office or your insurance provider as there is a problem with your Medicaid coverage.
